GRIMES, Julius H. - Putnam

Russellville - Julius H. Grimes, 84 of near Russellville died at 12:45 a. m. Saturday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He had been hospitalized two days. A lifelong farmer, Mr. Grimes was a graduate of Waveland HS and member of Knights of Pythias Lodge. He was born Nov 10, 1893, a son of James and Fairice Jarvis Grimes of Parke County. on Dec 2, 1914, he was married to Jewel McClain, who died in 1976. Surviving are three sons, Warren R. Grimes of Oakridge, Tenn; Gene E. Grimes of near Russellville and David E. Grimes of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Helen Sue) Mitchell of near New Market; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
