GRIMES, Eugene E. - Putnam

Eugene E. GRIMES, 80, retired farmer of the Russellville community, died at 8:45 p. m. Friday in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, after an extended illness. He was a native of Russell Twp, PUtnam County born May 5, 1887 to John D and Amanda Clodfelter Grimes. Mr. Grimes was a member of Russellville Christian Church and Knights of Pythias Lodge. Surviving are the wife, Lula; 3 daughters, Mrs. Freida Wiatt of near Ladoga and Mrs. Katherine Kelly of and Mrs. Beulah Allgood of Russellville; two sons, Randall Grimes and John Albert Grimes of Russellville; 17 grandchildren 8 great grandchildren and two brothers, Cleve and Claude Grimes, both of Russellville. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p. m. Sunday at Russellville Christian Church with internment in Hebron Cemetery.
