GRIMES, Carl A. - Putnam

Carl A. Grimes, 83 former local resident died April 11 in a hospital at Caledonia, Ohio.  He was born Oct 4, 1883 to David Henry and Anna Marie Hargrave Grimes near Russellville. When a child, the family moved near Darlington where he grew to manhood and engaged in farming.  Many years ago he moved to their present home at Martel Ohio and was engaged in railroad work until his retirement. He is survived by his wife Myrtle Price Grimes; one daughter, Ina Marie Albright, a son Paul; a brother, Ollie R. Grimes of French Lick, Ind and three grandchildren. Raymond Lyle and William Grimes are nephews and Helen Schreiner is a niece.  A son, Clarence died in 1965.  Funeral services and burial wer ein Caledonia, Ohio. - kbz
