Mrs. Mildred M. Griffin, 58, 507 W. York Street died at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Anthony Hospital, Terre Haute. She was a Putnam County native, born Sept 18, 1911 near Russellville to Luther and Anna Gastineau She married Russell L. Griffin Jan 1, 1931. Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Janet Compton of Terre Haute; a brother, Paul Gasteineau of Danville, Ill; a foster brother, Joel Disher of Terre Haute and 4 grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. BF Nickless officiating. Interment will be in Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
