GRIDER, George W. - Putnam

Fincastle -- George W. Grider, 90, a native and lifelong resident of the Fincastle community, died at his home here at 3:45 a.m. Saturday. He had suffered a broken hip Oct 4, 1965. Born in Fincastle July 26, 1875, he was the son of Exacius and Amanda Young Grider On nov. 1, 1911, he married Osa M. Newgent in Indianapolis. Mr. Grider was a member of the Fincastle Community Church. He had been a painter and paper hanger in Fincastle until his retirement about 15 years ago. Survivors include the widow and a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Annis Grider of Fincastle. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Perkins Funeral Home in Roachdale. Burial will be in Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.   --- kbz
