Word reached here that Mrs. Carrie Grider of Fincastle died Wednesday morning. While her friends were expecting her death yet they were shocked. She leaves a husband, and several children, one a few weeks old to mourn her loss. She was a lovely woman and had many friends who deepy sympathize with her family. - kbz

Mrs. Carria Grider died Sept 8. Funeral services the following day at the Christian Church by Rev. Johnson, burial at Blakesburg cemetery. – kbz
