John Henry Grantham, 83, retired merchant, died at his home Saturday morning. He lived in Roachdale since the town was founded. His father Elijah Grantham owned the lot east of the Monon Railroad and south of what is now the B & Bo, where the greater part of Roachdale now stands. Survivors are daughters; Mrs. Agnes Woods, Mrs W. C. Barnes of Indianapolis, Mrs. Horace Israel of Crawordsville; a son Edgar of Roachdale, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon with burial at Roachdale cemetery.
