GOTT, Ira Benton - Putnam

Funeral services for Ira Benton Gott, age 60 years, of Russellville, will be held Saturday afternoon at  2 o’clock from the Russellville Federated Church with Rev. L. Bicket in charge. Burial will be in the Russellville Cemetery. Friends may call at the McGaughey Funeral Home in Russellville until 1 o’clock Saturday afternoon. The body will lie in state at the church one hour preceding the service. For many years Mr. Gott had been bridge foreman for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. He died Tuesday night at the Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. Death was due to a heart ailment. Born April 15, 1884 at Parkersburg, he was the son of William and Allie Gott. He was married in 1907 to May Murray Wright whose death occurred in 1941. He was married a second time in 1942 to Ethel Payton who survives. Mr. Gott was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Railroad association and Russellville Federated Church. - kbz
