Mrs. Alice Lear, of Russellville, died Wednesday morning at 2 o’clock of brain trouble, after an illness of only thirteen hours. She was married to Wm Gott in 1879. She leaves a husband and two children to mourn her loss.
She was 45 years, 11 months and 5 days old. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Rev. McCoy, of Crawfordsville, preached her funeral. Her remains were laid to rest in the Russellville Cemetery. --- kbz

The sad intelligence was received from Russellville Wednesday of the sudden death or Mrs. Gott, wife of WH Gott, proprietor of the Russellville Hotel. No particulars could be learned. The deceased became a member of Ben Hur last week and carried a $2,200 insurance policy. --- kbz
