Waynetown -- Leland Gooding, 76, of Waynetown, died suddenly Friday evening in his home. He was a retired salesman having worked for the Boldt Milling Co. of Waynetown for 30 years. He was a member of the Brownsvalley Christian Church and the Eagles Lodge of Crawfordsville. He was a graduate of Russellville High School. The son of Lonnie and Merta Davis Gooding, he was born November 18, 1901. Surviving are a son, Robert of Waveland; a daughter, Mrs. Duane (Pauline) Collings of Roachdale; a brother, Leonard Gooding of Warsaw; three sisters, Mrs. Earl (Mary) French and Mrs. Lucy Bramson, both of Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Herman (Doris) Myers, of Rt. 1 Hillsboro, five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Gooding was preceded in death by a son, Austin; a brother, Bernice: and his wife, Marian who died in 1973. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown. Rev. Jack Frank will officiate. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m.
