Miss Carrie Goldsberry, daughter of Dr. Goldsberry of Parke County died quite suddenly at the residence of Mrs. M. Black in this city last Saturday morning.  Miss Goldsberry had been attending Asbury University but some days ago was taken sick with the measles. She was able to go about until Friday morning about 7 or 8 o’clock when she complained of being drowsy and laid down. About 11 o’clock she drank a glass of lemonade and said she felt much better and shortly afterwards went to sleep and slept until 7 in the evening when Mrs. Black thinking she had slept too long attempted to awake her but could not succeed.  Fearing something wrong, Dr. Ellis was called in and shortly afterwards, Dr. Smythe. They were also unable to arouse her but remained with her most of the night. About 3 o’[clock in the morning she was taken with convulsions or internal spasms and showed indications of __ of the brain. Dr. Fisher was called in consultation but they were unable to relieve her and about 9 o’clock in the morning she died, having remained unconscious up to her death. The deceased had been somewhat subject to spells of deep sleep we are informed, it having once become necessary to break open the door of her sleeping apartment in order to arouse her.  Her remains were taken to Parke County for interment last Sunday afternoon.
