GOLDBERG, Walter S. - Putnam

Walter S. Goldberg, 81, Spencer died Monday May 6 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born Aug 24, 199 in Greencastle to Meyer V. and Bessie (Sundranski) Goldberg.  Mr. Goldberg had been a stockbroker with Thomson-McKinnon Securities in Indianapolis. His wife, Isabel (Crane) Goldberg survives in Spencer. Also surviving are two daughters, Margaret “Peg” Goldberg of Carmel and Marian Arnett of Ellettsville; one sister, Roberta Gorrell of Greencastle and one granddaughter.  A private graveside service will be conducted Wednesday and burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery in Greencastle. The Rev. Robert Pebley and Rev. James Root will officiate. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the family residence at 23 Garden Park in Spencer. Day Mortuary of Bloomington is handling local arrangements. – kbz
