GOFF, John William - Putnam

– John William GOFF, 86, lifelong resident of this vicinity, died at his home here Saturday morning after an illness of 2 years. Death was due to a complication of diseases. Mr. Goff was born Nov 20, 1846. He was married more than 50 years ago to Clay Hyten. Mr. Goff spent all his life within 5 miles of this place. He was a member of the Christian Church & Knights of Pythias Lodge. Survivors include the widow; one son, Depew Goff of Russellville and 4 daughters, Mrs. Margaret Hall of Bainbridge; Mrs. Alva Doyel and Mrs. Manford Carrington of Russellville and Mrs. HV Roquet of Indianapolis. The funeral services will be held at Russellville Christian Church Monday morning at 10 with Rev. HA Davis officiating.
