GOFF, Elizabeth Gardner - Putnam

Russellville, Ind June 29 – Mrs. Elizabeth Gardner Goff, 90 years old, widow of Robert Goff, died at the family home, three miles south of here Sunday with paralysis. She was known by most of her friends as Aunt Lizzie. Her death occurred on the anniversary of her husband’s death which was two years ago Sunday in his 90th year.  The deceased was born on the farm on which she lived most of her life and died.  Mrs. Goff was the mother of 11 children, all of whom lived to maturity, and eight of whom are still living in the vicinity of this place. She has 27 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Mrs. Goff had been in good health until recently when she was afflicted with the trouble that caused her death. She was a member of the Christian Church of this place and was formerly a member of the old Hebron Church. The funeral was held at the home Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock. The burial was in the Hebron Cemetery - kbz
