John M. Glover died in Washington DC on Tuesday, March 22. The body will arrive here today and lie in state at the Presbyterian Church from one until 2:30 when funeral services will be conducted by Rev. H Ray Sigler with burial in the Presbyterian Cemetery. Mr. Glover was the son of Newton & Matilda Glover and was born in Waveland Jan 6, 1857. He married Odessa Santon Nov 23, 1889. She survives him with two daughters: Mrs. Mary Hunter of Chicago and Miss Alice Glover of Washington; also one brother, Robert J. of Waveland and one sister, Mrs. Geo. Hanna of Pasadena Cal. He was in business in Judson for a number of years and conducted a general store in New Market for 17 years. He was active in politics and held the office of county treasurer for two terms. Shortly afterwards he went to Washington to take a government position. He has been in poor health for a number of years.
