Roachdale - Daniel Edward Gilliland, 66, of Rt. 1, Roachdale, died this morning in Winona Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a member of the Roachdale Christian Church, Roachdale Masonic Lodge, Indianapolis Murat Shrine Club and Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite. He was a farmer and graduated from Crawfordsville High School. Born at New Market on March 23, 1916, he was a son of Clarence and Grace Miler Gilliland. He was married at Crawfordsville on Feb. 17, 1940 to Marjorie O’Connor. She survives. Also surviving are a brother, Robert of Baton Rogue, La., and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Servies & Morgan Funeral Home at Roachdale. Friends may call at the funeral home 3-9 p.m. Wednesday.
