Herbert Gifford, for many years a boss nailer in the rolling mill, died at the residence of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Wharton Monday.

Died in this city on Feb 29, of consumption, Herbert Gifford, aged 30 years. Deceased arrived in this city about one week before his death, and died at the residence of his wife’s father, Isaac Wharton. For many years the deceased was a nailor employed at the Greencastle Iron & Nail Works. The funeral took place on Thursday. - transcribed by kbz
