Gibbs - Susan Branson - Putnam

Mrs. JM Gibbs (Susan Maria Branson Gibbs) died at 1 p.m. last Sunday at her home south of town after a brief illness from typhoid pneumonia aged 54 years 11 months and 7 days. She leaves a husband and one child, Mrs. Ellan Fernsel to mourn her demise. Susan Maria Gibbs was born near Knoxville, Tenn Sept 13, 1844 and was married to JM Gibbs at Greencastle, Ind June 4, 1868. She came to La Hunta (Otero County Colorado – buried there in Fairview Cemetery) in September 1889 and has since been a resident of this city, loved and respected by all who knew her.
