GASAWAY, Sidney - Putnam

Sidney Gasaway age 71 years and a well known resident of Greencastle, passed away about 8 o’clock Friday evening at the Putnam County Hospital.  Mr. Gasaway suffered a stroke a few days ago which resulted in his death.  He was a retired Monon brakeman. He resided on North Madison Street with his son, Elmo.  He was married to Emma Alice Walsh in 1915. She preceded him in death in 1927. Survivors are the son and one brother, Lawrence of this city and a grandson, Richard E.  Funeral services will be held from Rector Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. Burial in Forest Hill cemetery. - kbz
