GARLAND, Thomas M. - Putnam

Thomas M. GARLAND, 84, retired farmer, died Friday evening, March 13, 1959 in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville following a 10-day illness. Born April 27, 1874 in Parke Co, Mr. Garland was the son of Calvin and Mary Deere Garland. He was never married. Mr. Garland farmed most of his life in Parke County and near Waveland. He was a member of the Byron Christian Church and Waveland Masonic Lodge No. 300. Survivors include a sister, Mary Garland of Waveland; two nieces, Mrs. Bernard Clore of Waveland and Esther Garland of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and two nephews, Lee Garland, Crawfordsville, RR 7; and Rev. Lloyd Garland, Macon, Ga. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at Byron Christian Church, Rev. John R. Servies officiated. Burial in Waveland Presbyterian Cemetery. - transcribed by kbz
