Last rites for Mrs. Mildred Gardner, 53, were held from the Russellville Christian Church at 2:30 . p. m. Wednesday with burial in the Russellville Cemetery.
Mrs. Gardner passed away at 5:30 Sunday afternoon in the Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville after a short illness.
She was born January 2, 1907, a daughter of Carl and Grace Heizer Light.
Survivors include her husband, Vernon (Hap) Gardner; three daughters, Mrs. Norma Shonkwiler of Bainbridge, Mrs. Marilyn Plackner of Pueblo, Colo. and Mrs. Carole Clodfelter of Russellville; a son, Paul Gardner of Port Mead, Md.; four brothers, Alvin, Harry and Edward Light, all of Indianapolis and Gene Light of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Helen Criss of Indianapolis and Mary Ramsay of Tampa, Fla. and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

RUSSELLVILLE – Mrs. Mildred Gardner, 53, died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville after a short illness. She was born Jan. 2, 1907, a daughter of Carl and Grace Heizer Light.
