GARDNER, Mary Ann Gardner - Putnam

Mrs. Edward Gardner, a former resident, died in the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis on Sunday. Death followed a major operation 10 days before. The immediate cause was a blood clot on the lungs. Funeral services on Tuesday were in the Russellville Federated Church in charge of Rev. J.P. Alford. Mary Ann Gardner was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Gardner of Russellville. She married Edward Gardner on May 6, 1886. He survives with three sons, Frank Gardner of Waveland; Ben Gardner of Indianapolis and Earl Gardner of New Market and daughter, Mrs. Donovan Shoaf of Waveland. When in Waveland they lived in the Rice tenant house on West Main. For a time they lived with Frank Gardner in north side and latterly with Mrs. Shoaf.
