GARDNER, Letha Allen - Putnam

Mrs. Letha Belle Gardner, 60, a Waveland resident most of her life, died at 11:40 a.m. Friday at the Ben Hur Home in Crawfordsville after an illness of one year. Mrs. Gardner had been in the grocery business in Waveland and Marshall until 1947. She was a member of the Waveland Covenant Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. A native of Parke County, she was born March 27, 1906, a daughter of Forest and Grace Clore Allen. She married Frank Gardner Nov 11, 1960, here. Survivors are the husband, her father; a son, Donadl Warren of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Roy Pittman of Waveland; a brother, Leslie Allen of Waveland; two grandchildren; a niece and two nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the Machledt and Servies Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Porter officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. - kbz
