GALEY, Homer M. - Putnam

Homer M. Galey, 71 of Stuart, Florida a former resident of Browns Valley died Sunday in Stuart. He was a retired Monsanto Co. chemist. Mr. Galey was a veteran of WWI, a 1914 graduate of Waveland HS and 1918 graduate of Wabash College. He was a member of Browns Valley Baptist Church. He was born at Browns Valley May 19. 1895, a son of Fisher B. and Tassie Mathers Galey. He was married to Germaine M. LePederel on May 26, 1923 at Washington, DC. Surviving are his wife, a brother, Roy of Sunrise Beach, MO; two sisters, Nellie Canine of Browns Valley and Mrs. Frank Shanks of Waveland and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. John Webster officiating. Burial in Atherton Cemetery at Danville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today. - kbz
