Mrs. Katharine Gainor, south Greencastle, died Tuesday morning of old age. The funeral occurred Wednesday at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Deceased was about 80 years of age and resided on Ohio Street. – kbz

Another of Greencastle’s old and much respected residents died on June 30, 1896, in the person of Mrs. Catherine Gainer; deceased had long been ailing. Her age was 80 years. The funeral took place on Wednesday morning from St. Paul’s Church, Father McLaughlin conducting the services. – kbz
