Mrs. Emily Fuqua died at the home of her son, Harry M. Fuqua, 712 South 27th street at 3 o’clock this morning of a complication of diseases.  She had been in serious condition for some time.  She was born in Putnam County, Indiana May 24, 1833 and had made her home with her son for the past 16 years.  She was a member of the First Christian Church and was an estimable woman.  She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Mary King of Russell, Kan; Mrs. GW Black of Anderson, Ind and Harry Fuqua of this city.  The funeral will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon from the house with interment in Sigler Cemetery.   – kbz
