Edward J. Frazier, age 84 years died at his home in Cloverdale at 8 o’clock Saturday morning following an illness of six weeks.  Mr. Fraizer was born Feb 5, 1870, the son of Eli and Carolyn Cook Frazier in Owen County.  He was married Nov 2, 1897 to Hattie Balay who survives. The deceased was a member of the Methodist Church of Cloverdale and the K of P. Lodge.  Survivors include the wife; five daughters: Mrs. Faith Smiley of Cloverdale; Mrs. Cloudy Bandy of Cataract; Mrs. Vernell Haltom of Poland; Mrs. Marjorie Sharp of Richmond; Mrs. Virginia Hoffa of Cloverdale; three sons: Voshel of Cloverdale; Woodrow of Fillmore and Garwood of Cloverdale; three half sisters: Miss Mattie Fraizer (sic) of Rockville; Mrs. Dovie Chitwood of Bloomington; Hazel Fraiser (sic) of Cloverdale; one brother, Robert, Cloverdale; one step sister, Mrs. Ora Baldwin of Greencastle; two step brothers, Walter Sanders of Poland and Ross Sanders of Texas; one daughter preceded him in death. Funeral services will be announced Monday by the Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale.
