FOSTER, J. Wesley - Putnam

J. Wesley FOSTER the well known colored book died at the jail last night at 8 o'clock. Wes had a fit last Tuesday and he wandered off in the country stark crazy. He was brought in by Allen Robinson who found him and continued to grow worse until he died. Whiskey and dissapation hastened the end of Wes Foster who when sober was an industrious and obliging man. Wes was an old soldier and his funeral will occur Wednesday afternoon at the AME Church.
