FOSTER, Beryl Cummings - Putnam

Mrs. Beryl Cummings Foster, one-time Indianapolis resident and nationally known as a Christian Science practitioner, died Aug 28 at the Browder General Hospital, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She had been ill a short time before death.  Mrs. Foster was born in Emminence, Morgan County, Indiana, Sept 12, 1876.  When 15, she moved with her parents to Cloverdale. She was married to Herschel C. Foster on Sept 12, 1893.  For more than 10 years prior to her husband’s death in 1939, Mrs. Foster was a Christian Science practitioner in Indianapolis. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist at Ft. Lauderdale, and the Mother Church of Boston, Mass. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star at Cloverdale.  Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon in Rector’s Mortuary in Greencastle. Survivors include a daughter Florence of Ft. Lauderdale and a son, Gaylord Foster of Seattle, Wash. – kbz
