Ill for the
past month, Mrs. Nelle Ann Fordice, 76, died at the Major Hospital in
Shelbyville Tuesday morning at 10:25 o’clock. She had been in a serious
condition only 10 days. Mrs. Fordice made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Rose
Bridges, 315 West Third Street. She had resided here since 1937. The deceased
was born in Portland Mills, In March 14, 1873, a daughter of Phillip and Nancy
Jane Bishop Kendall. She was married to Joseph N. FOrdice, who preceded her in
death in 1936. Mrs. Fordice was a member of the Federated Church at
Russellville and the Eastern Star Lodge here.
Besides the daughter, she is survived by a son, Dr. RN Fordice of here;
two sisters, Mrs. Claude Gardner and Mrs. SF Evans of Russellville and two
grandchildren. Friends may call at the Wyatt Memorial on Wednesday beginning at
10 a.m. Thursday at 2 o’clock rites will be conducted in the Federated Church
at Russellville by the Rev. WA Alexander of Indianapolis. Burial will be in the
Russellville Cemetery. - kbz
