FISHER, Nancy A. - Putnam

Mrs. Nancy A. Fisher, widow of William A. Fisher, a veteran of the Civil War who died about 30 years ago died Thursday evening at the home of her son, Henry Fisher, four miles southwest of Center Point of general debility, aged 83 years.  Mrs. Fisher was born at Greencastle and was a daughter of Elliott Alexander one of the early settlers of Putnam County.  At an early age she came to Clay County and had since resided in the vicinity of Center Point where she leaves many friends to mourn her death.  The deceased is survived by two sons and two daughters, Henry Fisher of near Center Point; Edward Fisher of Linton; Mrs. Sam P. Butt of Center Point and Mrs. Hira Greenway of Jasonville; also 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at the Ashboro ME Church at 10 o’clock Sunday morning, Rev.
