On Tuesday, the 10th day of February, 1863, William S. Farrow, one of the most estimable citizens of Clinton Township, this county, departed this life, having taken sick only the Saturday previous. On Friday, the 6th, he was in Greencastle enjoying apparently as good health as he ever did. Three days hence his many form was prostrate in death. Two days after his death, his son Willie, a lad of some 8 or 10 summers, was likewise called hence and the remains of the father and son were interred on the same day side by side. May the God of Heaven comfort and console the remaining members of the family in this their hour of deep affliction. Simpson Farrow, as he was familiarly called, by his large circle of acquaintances was greatly beloved by all with whom he came in contract. Pretty largely engaged as a dealer in live stock for a number of years, he necessarily had business with a great number of people; yet in all his transactions, he was regarded as an honest, upright man – in  possession of a character above reproach.
