EGGERS, Guy W. - Putnam

Guy W. Eggers, 82, of Wingate, former resident of Crawfordsville died Wednesday night at Lake View Hospital in Danville, Ill. He had been a mechanic all of his life and had spent most of his adult years in the Crawfordsville and Wingate area. Mr. Eggers was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church near Browns Valley. He was born Aug. 20, 1885, at Groveland, the son of Truman and Bertha Eggers. He married Mearl Shull Feb. 18, 1946. Survivors include the widow; two sons, Raymond Edward of Brenton, Wash., and Guy Jr. of Lafayette; a daughter, Jean Collman of Cleveland, Ohio, and two stepdaughters, Barbara Austin and Mae Dulin, both of Crawfordsville; 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville. Rev. Howard F. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1. p.m. Friday.   --- kbz
