Whitesville, Oct 18 -- George Dallas Eggers, 92 years old, died here at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Albert Jenkins on Monday afternoon at 3:10 o'clock. He had been ill one week and his death was attributed to the infirmities of old age. Mr. Eggers was born in Parke County Nov 15, 1844, a son of Joseph and Mary Eggers. He married Sarah Sanders who died in May 1935. Surviving are three sons, Charles Eggers, Burlington; Dr. Ernest Eggers, Hammond and Cecil Eggers Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren 4 greats. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Barnard Baptist Church. Friends may call at the Chastain Funeral Home in Roachdale Tuesday evening an Wednesday morning. Interment will be made in the Barnard Cemetery.

George Dallas Eggers, 92, died at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Albert Jenkins of Whitesville Monday afternoon. His wife died in May 1935. He was a former Jackson Township farmer. He was born in Parke County November 15, 1844, the son of Joseph and Mahala Hogan Eggers. He married Sarah Sanders March 25, 1873. Surviving are three sons; Charles of Burlington, Dr. Ernest of Hammond and Cecil of Indianapolis, eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren. Two sons are deceased. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Barnard Baptist church with burial in Barnard cemetery. --- thanks so much to Marilyn Walker
