EGGERS, Charles L. - Putnam

Charles L. Eggers, 73, died Friday morning at his home, 304 Covington Street. He had been ill 8 weeks with a heart ailment. A farmer most of his life, Mr. Eggers was born May 21, 1874 in Putnam County the son of Dallas and Sarah Sanders Eggers. He married Christine Morphew at North Salem Sept 11, 1893. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are the widow, one son Raymond Eggers, a daughter, Mrs. Sylvia Jenkins four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two brothers, Dr. Ernest Eggers of Hammond and Cecil Eggers of Indianapolis and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Proffit & Sons Funeral Home with burial at Masonic Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the late residence, 304 Covington Street.
