EGGERS, Carl R. - Putnam

Roachdale - Carl R. Eggers, 61, died at his home at 7 p. m. Friday. he had been ill only a week. He was born March 13, 1889, in Putnam County, the son of Milton and Elizabeth Hedge Eggers. On April 21, 1910, he was married to Ethel E. Gardner. Mr. Eggers had spent his entire life in the Roachdale community and was in the real estate business here at the time of his death. Survivors include the wife, Ethel; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Clodfelter,of Morton, Ind, five sons, Gardner of Bloomfield, S. M., of Plainfield, Willard and John L. of Danville, Ind and Robert, at home; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Bartlett of Indianapois, 12 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Rev. Ray Britton will conduct funeral services Sunday at 3:30 p. m. at the Chastain Funeral Home in Roachdale. Burial will be in Roachdale cemetery.
