EGGERS, Anna Elizabeth Miller - Putnam

Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Miller Eggers, 89, died at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday at the home of a grandson, Freddy Gowin near here. She had been in failing health 7 months. Born in Putnam County May 25, 1866, she was the daughter of William Martin and Sarah Catherine Miller. On Oct 21, 1886, she married Matthew R. Eggers who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ronk of near Roachdale; five sisters, Mrs Eliza Thompson and Mrs. Clara Jameson both of Roachdale; Mrs. Delia Payton of Advance; Mrs. Alice Zimmerman of Indianapolis and Mrs. Florence Crouch of Crossville, Tenn; 17 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Fri at 2 p.m. at the Chastain Funeral Home in Roachdale with Rev. Ernest Ronk officiating. Burial in Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. this afternoon.
