EGGERS, Allen - Putnam

Allen Eggers 59 died at his home here about noon Thursday following an illness of 8 years. He has been seriously ill for 3 weeks. Mr. Eggers was born March 3, 1886 near New Maysville, the son of John W. and Susan Thompson Eggers. He was married Dec 1, 1907 to Mamie Gowin who died in 1918; and Oct 15, 1921, he married Doris Patton who survives. He spent his entire life in the Roachdale vicinity and was a member of the Christian Church here. In addition to Mrs. Eggers, survivors are two daughters, Betty and Phyllis at home. Another daughter, Katherine died sometime ago. Funeral will be at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Christian Church here with burial at New Maysville. The Rev. Ray Britton will be in charge of the service. Friends may call at the family residence after one o'clock Friday afternoon.
