DYER, Eugene L. - Putnam

Lafayette, Ind May 21 - Eugene L. Dyer for many years local manager of the Western Union Telegraph Company and one of the oldest telegraphers in Indiana died suddenly at his home here tonight.  He was in his usual health on Sunday when he suffered two strokes of apoplexy. Eugene Dyer was born and raised at Bainbridge where he lived for many years. His widow survives.  Mr. Dyer was widely known among the telegraph operators of the middle west   --- kbz
