Thelma I. Dwigans, 67, Cloverdale, passed away Thursday morning at Putnam County Hospital. She was born April 11, 1915 in Hamilton County the daughter of Matthew L. and Jennie (Adkins) Ross. Mrs. Dwigans married Ralph E. Dwigans on Aug 1, 1931 and he survives. She had been a resident of Cloverdale since 1946 and a member and past Worthy Matron of OES No 369, Cloverdale. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Jennie Lou) Allen, Rt 1, Reelsville and Wilma Sue Taylor, Greencastle, three sons, Charles Dwigans, Greenwood and Jerry and Ted Dwigans, both of Cloverdale; four sisters, Edith Morris, Indianapolis, Bess Gaddis Quincy, Vivian Merklin, Greenwood and Wilma Brandenburg, Zionsville; 22 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one great grandson. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale. Rev. Michael Monahan will officiate. OES memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cloverdale Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday.
