Mrs. Sophronia A. Duvall, who died at her late residence, 159 North Illinois Street Sunday evening was born in Wayne County Dec 5, 17276 and came to Indianapolis with her uncle, Rev. Her husband was a long while in the carpet and wall paper business on South Illinois street with the father of WH Roll and died July 26, 1872 aged 48 years. Of the family, five children survive: Charles E. Duvall, of this city; Prof. TG (sic other say DG) Duvall of DePauw University; Mrs. Ella Hopping of Hancock County and Mrs. Carrie Krutz of Washington State and two daughters yet at home, Gertrude and Grace. Mrs. Duvall was a member of the old Wesley Chapel and later of Meridian-Street Methodist Episcopal Church and always an active worker in all the interests of the church. - thanks to "S" for this one
