James E. Durham eldest son of the late George S. Durham of this city died at his home in Muncie Sunday night. Mr. Durham had been in poor health for more than a year and death came as the result of paralysis. Mr. Durham was born on a farm in Putnam County but since his marriage to Ella Edwards of Cincinnati has resided in Muncie. He is survived by his wife, a son, Frederick Durham of Muncie a daughter, Mrs. Lois Durham Scoggins of Jacksonville, Fl , his mother, Mrs. George S. Durham of this city and several sisters and brothers, Mrs. P.O. Rudy of this city, Mrs. May Moreland of Muncie, Lee Durham of Carthage, Mo.

James E. Durham died at his home in Muncie Sunday night from paralysis terminating an extended illness. He was the eldest son of the late George S. Durham of this city. The deceased was born on a farm in Putnam County. He married Miss Ella Edwards of Cincinnati, and since has resided in Muncie. He is survived by his wife; one son, Frederick, Muncie and one daughter, Mrs. Lois Scoggins, Jacksonville, Florida, his mother, Mrs. George S. Durham, Crawfordsville and a sister, Mrs. PO Rudy, Crawfordsville.
