DORSETT, Kenneth - Putnam

Kenneth Ray Dorsett, 89 died Friday at Franlin United Methodist Home.  He was a resident of Franklin.  H ewas born Dec 24, 1900 in Putnam County.  His parents were Gilbert Dorsett and Ora (Stringer) Dorsett.  He was married to Gayle Brown Dorsett.  She died in 1931.  He later married Hazel Best Maxwell Dorsett. She died in 1960.  He married Crystal Evans LaBone Dorsett July 16, 1966 in Franklin.  She survives. Other survivors include a brother, Ross Dorsett of Connersvile and a sister, Myngle Dorsett of Indianapolis.  He was owner and operator of Dorsett Insurance and Real Estate in Mooresville from 1948-1978.  From 1930-1948 he worked for Indianapolis Power and Light.  He was director ermirutus of First Federal Savings and Loan Association in Mooresville from 1952-1975.  He belonged to First Chrstian Church in Mooresville, Mooresville Masonic Lodge 78, Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine in Indianapolis and Order of Eastern Star 260 in Mooresville.  The Rev. Duane Moff, the Rev. Robert Albert and Rev. Robert Fair will conduct a service at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Wright Memorial Chapel in Franklin United Methodist Home.  Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Vandivier-Tudor Funeral Home in Franklin and from 9:30 a.m. to time of service Monday at the chapel.
