DOGGETT, Mary - Putnam

“Russellville news” – Mrs. Mary Doggett died suddenly Monday evening at the home of Elmer Clodfelter, her grandson where she was visiting. She was called here two weeks ago from her home near Danville, Ill by the death of her sister, Mrs. Preston Layne, who was hurt in an automobile accident near Ladoga and died a few days later.  Mrs. Doggett was the mother of Mrs. Laura Clodfelter, south of this place and three children who live in Illinois. The body was prepared for burial by Scott & McGaughey, undertakers, and was taken by them to her home for burial. Brief services were held at the home this morning at 7 o’clock. - kbz
