DODD - Joseph - Civil War - Putnam

Joseph W. Dodd, age 86 years, Civil War veteran died at his home on the Rockville Road at 7:45 o’clock Thursday morning., He had been in failing health since January.  He had been a resident in Greencastle for the past 11 years coming here from Marion County.  Mr. Dodd is survived by the widow, Mrs. Margaret Dodd, a son William at home and a daughter Mrs. William Cummins of North Vernon.  Funeral services will be held at the residence Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. The Son of Veterans will give its ritualistic service. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. - kbz
