We pause to pay our respect to a dear friend and neighbor, who answered the last call on Thursday morning Dec 27, 1945 while in his car enroute to see a physician.  Glen Dobbs, the son of Otto and Annetta Dobbs was born December 1, 1904 in Putnam County Indiana near Belle Union and passed away at age 41 years and 26 days.  He completed his education at Cloverdale HS, graduating with the class of 1924.  He was married to Florence Love, June 27, 1926. They lived in the community of Belle Union all his life. Glen devoted most of his time working for the public and at the time of his departure was employed by the Plainfield Oil Co at Mt. Meridian.  In this position he has formed a great number of close friendships with his fellow employees and patrons whom he served.  During a revival meeting at Walnut Chapel, when Glen was about 16 years of age, God spoke peace to his soul.  He never united with any church, but lived with the assurance that some day he would go to live with his Creator.  Glen was a devoted companion, a good neighbor and friend and was always willing to help any one in distress or trouble.  His devotion to home, relatives and neighbors was his first aim in live.  He leaves to mourn his passing a devoted companion a grief stricken mother, uncles, aunts, cousins and a great number of grief-stricken friends!    --- kbz
