Jasper Newton Dinsmore, 76, well known and highly respected resident of Roachdale, died at his home Wednesday night at 7 o’clock. Death was due to Bright’s disease from which he had been suffering since last February. The deceased was born April 8, 1856, in Boone County, the son of Peter and Perlina Dinsmore. He was married May 13, 1876 to Louisa Katherine Agee. Mr. Dinsmore was a member of the Roachdale Christian Church and for 42 years had been a member of Ridgeley Lodge 61, of the IOOF at Ladoga. Mr Dinsmore for the past 7 years had been head custodian of the Roachdale school. Previous to that he had been a steam and electrical engineer since early manhood. He had lived practically all of his life in and around Ladoga and Roachdale. The survivors include the widow, Mrs. Louisa Dinsmore; one daughter, Mrs. Lola Faye Lookabill of Crawfordsville; three sons, Chas. E. Dinsmore of East St. Louis, Ill; John E. Dinsmore of South Bend and Arthur M. Dinsmore of Indianapolis; a brother, John Dinsmore of Waynetown; a sister, Martha Gray of Darlington; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren besides a host of friends. The funeral services will be held at the home in Roachdale Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock with Rev. James H. Wilson, pastor of the First Christian Church of Crawfordsville, in charge. The IOOF Lodge of Ladoga will be in charge of the services at the grave.
