Devaney, William S. - Putnam

The death of William S. DeVaney age 64 prominent Madison Township farmer occurred at his home about 2 o’clock Monday morning following a stroke of apoplexy. The death of Mr. DeVaney comes as a shock to his many friends as he was in apparent good health Sunday. The widow, two daughters, Miss Ethel and Miss Mary of Indianapolis and two sons, Albert and Frank survive. The funeral was held at the Union Cemetery in Hamilton County near Atlanta, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The funeral party left the DeVaney home at 8 o’clock Tuesday morning. - kbz
