DETRO, Samuel W. - Putnam

Samuel W. Detro, 73 years old, flagman at Warner’s Crossing south of East Moline for 10 years died last evening at his home, 2604 Twelfth Avenue, Moline as a result of a stroke, which occurred last November. He was born in Greencastle, Indiana April 5, 1856 and was married to Mary Steele in 1875.  Mrs. Detro died 27 years ago.  He moved to Moline in 1915.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Ruark of Moline and a brother, Robert Detro of Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the home. Rev. Stanley W. Graf, pastor of Gordon Memorial Congregational church, Moline will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. - kbz
