DAVIS, Sylvia Woodall - Putnam

Hindsboro, Aug 13 – Mrs. Sylvia Davis, 18, died at the Sarah Jarman hospital in Tuscola about 1 o’clock Friday morning following an appendicitis operation performed 8 days ago. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon in the Hindsboro Methodist Church with Rev. D. Ross Fleming officiating.  Interment will be made in the Oakland cemetery. She is survived by her husband, her father and brother Lowell and sister Goldeen.  Sylvia, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Woodall was born Sept 29, 1909 in Putnam County, Indiana and has resided here for the past 10 years.  She was united in marriage, Dec 22, 1926 to Edward Davis of Arcola. Her mother preceded her in death four years ago. She was a member of the Hindsboro Methodist Church.  – kbz
